Task 1. Imagine that you are preparing a project with your friend. You have found some interesting material for the presentation and you want to read this text to your friend. You have 1.5 minutes
to read the text silently, then be ready to read it out aloud. You will not have more than 1.5 minutes
to read it.

If you are looking for ideas to design your living space, think about your friends' homes which truly inspire you. When you visit your friends and family, think how you feel in their homes. You may find some of them cluttered with too many decorations or being too bold for your style. However, even such houses may give you an idea of what you certainly don't want to have in your flat.
Understanding how you feel in actual living spaces can help you find out which style you want to bring into your own home. If there is a home in particular where you feel comfortable, relaxed, and rested, you should think about what elements of these living spaces you like best, and which ones you can copy. Moreover, if you have a friend who has a style much like your own, ask him or her to help you as you work on your own room design.
Трудные для произношения слова. cluttered [ˈklʌtəd], decorations [ˌdekəˈreɪʃənz], particular [pəˈtɪkjʊlə], comfortable [ˈkʌmftəbl], relaxed [rɪˈlækst], elements [ˈelɪmənts].
На что обратить внимание. Перед «However, even such houses...» и «Moreover, if you have a friend...» — паузы, оба слова начинают новую синтагму. Список определений «comfortable, relaxed, and rested» читается как перечисление с ровным тоном на первых двух словах и падением на последнем. Условное придаточное «If there is a home in particular where...» произносится с повышением тона до запятой перед главным предложением.
