Zara tried to get in the 31 ______ but in vain.
- manner (манера, способ действия) — используется для описания того, как что-то делается (например, in a professional manner), и не сочетается с глаголом get in в данном контексте.
- state (состояние) — обычно используется в контексте физического или ментального статуса (например, state of mind), но не образует идиому get in the state в значении «поймать кураж/настроение».
- tone (тон, интонация) — слово set the tone означает «задавать тон», но get in the tone не является устойчивым выражением для описания личного настроя человека на праздник.
