Kevin Stone

Kevin Stone was driving north on the High Road, towards the mountains. He 30______ on the radio and tuned in to Ask Dr Linda. It was a programme he had no intention of 31______. It always made him feel better.

When he reached his destination, he remained in his car until the programme was over. Then he sat quietly for several minutes longer before getting out of the car. He walked to the water’s edge. The trees surrounding the lake had begun to change colour and were far more vivid in their yellow, orange and red shades than the ones he had 33______ in the city and suburbs closer in. An hour later, he was at his mother’s house. He found his mother in her studio.
