Michael’s holidays
Michael was very happy. He was 30 ______ holidays with his family, making the most of his time by Emerald Lake. Early in the morning, as soon as dawn broke, he was on its shore – building fantastic sand castles from the gritty sand. He imitated the birds, trying to get their 31 ______. He chased the lizards, hoping they would want to play. He threw rocks into the water doing everything he could to entertain the fish. Michael loved nature — even if the hundreds of mosquito bites that covered his arms and legs were proof that nature didn’t love him back. Camping in the nature was 32 ______ the best way to spend your summer holidays.
Michael saw his sister Barbara sitting on the sand. At first, he didn’t want to 33 ______ her, but he had a great idea to share. So he came up to her and stated, “I bet the other side of the lake is even better than this side!”
Trying to act interested, Barbara asked, “What 34 ______ you think so?”

Ответ находится в середине текста, в реплике сестры Майкла, Барбары: “What 34 ______ you think so?”.
В контексте вопроса фраза “What makes you think so?”
- Вариант 4) takes (брать, требовать) может использоваться в значении «требоваться», но требует другой грамматической структуры (например, it takes something to do something) и не подходит по смыслу вопроса о причине мнения.
