1. Do you agree that nowadays people read less than they used to in the past?
2. What is better: to read a book or to watch its screen version? Why?
3. How can good reading skills help teenagers in their future career?
4. Who or what can help children shape their reading habits?
5. What are your current reading preferences? Have they changed since you were a child?

1. Yes, I completely agree that people read less than before. Nowadays, most teenagers spend their free time on smartphones and social media instead of books, and this has clearly reduced the amount of time we spend reading.
2. In my opinion, reading a book is better than watching its screen version. A book lets you imagine the characters and events yourself, while a film shows only one interpretation and often leaves out important details from the story.
3. Good reading skills can help teenagers a lot in their future career. They allow you to understand complex documents quickly and to learn new information on your own, which employers value in almost any profession.
4. Parents and teachers can help children shape their reading habits the most. If adults read to children when they are young and discuss books with them, children usually grow up enjoying reading themselves.
5. At the moment, I mostly enjoy reading adventure novels and books about real historical events. My preferences have changed a lot since I was a child, because back then I only liked fairy tales with simple plots.
