- Yes, I definitely think it is important to know foreign languages. They open up more opportunities for travel, study and work, and they also help you understand other cultures better.
- At school, I studied English for seven years and German for two years. English was compulsory from the second grade, while German was an optional second language starting in the fifth grade.
- Yes, I generally enjoyed studying a foreign language at school. The most difficult aspect for me was learning irregular grammar rules, because they were hard to remember and apply correctly in speech.
- I think the best way to master a foreign language is regular practice through speaking and listening, not just grammar exercises. Outside school, I study English by watching series in the original language and talking to native speakers online.
