3. In zoos, people can usually see a wide variety of animals, from big cats like lions and tigers to birds and reptiles. Some large zoos even keep rare animals such as pandas or elephants.
4. Zoos play an important role in protecting endangered species through breeding programmes. They also fund research and conservation projects that help protect these animals in their natural habitats.
5. One disadvantage of zoos is that some animals live in spaces much smaller than their natural habitat. Another disadvantage is that certain animals can become stressed or unhealthy when kept in captivity for a long time.
