You have received an email message from your English-speaking pen-friend Jack:
From: Jack@mail.uk
To: Russian_friend@ege.ru
Subject: Leisure time
…My friends and I regularly go to the theatre. Is it popular with teenagers to go to the theatre in your country? Are you a theatregoer? Who is your favourite Russian playwright, and why?
I’ve bought a new computer game…
Write an email to Jack.
In your message:
– answer his questions;
– ask 3 questions about the computer game.
Write 100–140 words.
Remember the rules of email writing.
Dear Jack,
Thanks a lot for your email. It's always great to hear from you and your family!
As for your questions, going to the theatre isn't very popular with teenagers in Russia, since most of us prefer cinemas or online streaming instead. I'm not a big theatregoer myself, but I do go a few times a year with my parents. My favourite Russian playwright is Chekhov, because his plays show everyday life so honestly.
I heard you bought a new computer game! What is the game about? How much did it cost you? Would you recommend it to me?
I hope to hear from you soon.
Best wishes,
Alex
