Thanks a lot for your email! It was really lovely to hear from you again after such a long time.
Yes, my region does celebrate City Day every summer, and it's one of my favourite events of the year. On that day there are usually concerts, fireworks and a big street market in the main square. My family and I always go into the town centre together and watch the evening fireworks from the river bank.
You said you took part in a photo competition last week, so I have a few questions. What was the theme of the competition? How many photos did you enter? Did you manage to win any prizes?
I really hope you'll tell me all about it soon.
