Kevin Stone
Kevin Stone was driving north on the High Road, towards the mountains. He 30______ on the radio and tuned in to Ask Dr Linda. It was a programme he had no intention of 31______. It always made him feel better.
When he reached his destination, he remained in his car until the programme was over. Then he sat quietly for several minutes longer before getting out of the car. He walked to the water’s edge. The mountain air was cold and still. The lake surface shone under the autumn sun, but even so, there were dark 32______that hinted at the water’s depth. The trees surrounding the lake had begun to change colour and were far more vivid in their yellow, orange and red shades than the ones he had 33______ in the city and suburbs closer in. For a long time, he sat on the ground at the lake side, his hands clasped over his knees. 34______ there were tears in his eyes, he ignored them. Then he turned and went back to his car.

She smiled when she saw him but was in no 36 ______ to start a conversation.
Верным является вариант 1) mood, так как в английском языке существует устойчивое выражение to be in no mood to do something (или in no mood for something), которое означает «быть не в том расположении духа, чтобы делать что-либо» или «не иметь желания/настроения» для какого-то действия.
- 4) spirit чаще используется во множественном числе (to be in high/low spirits) для обозначения общего жизненного тонуса или настроения, но не подходит к конструкции to be in no... to do something.
