A jazz evening

Jessica was talking about jazz music with her mother. Her mom was telling her about one song that was a revolutionary piece of music in the last century. Jessica was surprised to 30 ______ out that it was still listened to by jazz audiences all around the world. She loved how music could be passed down through generations.

“Well, it sounds like you’re interested 31 ______ jazz history all of a sudden. What’s making you ask all these questions?” Jessica’s mom asked.

The girl explained that she wanted to learn something new. She had learned enough classical music and wanted to move on to something else.

“Then start improvising!” Jessica’s mom told her. “Jazz is all about improvising. So many solos are just musicians playing what their heart feels.”

Jessica thought about improvising.
