Task 4. Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Using the Internet”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
·explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
·mention the advantages (1–2) of the two gadgets used to connect to the Internet;
·mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two gadgets used to connect to the Internet;
·express your opinion on the subject of the project – which of these gadgets to use the Internet you prefer and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Mike, hi! Quick voice note for our Internet project — I want to explain the two photos before I send them over. Basically, they show the two gadgets everyone actually goes online with: a laptop and a phone. In the first shot, a young woman is sitting at her kitchen table, typing on her laptop with a cup of coffee beside her. In the second, a girl is stretched out on her bed, headphones on, scrolling through her smartphone instead. A full-size laptop next to a pocket phone pretty much sums up how differently we all go online these days, which is perfect for the project.
A laptop's keyboard and big screen make typing essays or doing research a lot faster. A phone wins on portability, though — light enough to check anywhere, even on the bus. Where a laptop falls down is weight: you need a table, so it's no good on the move. A phone's small screen is the trade-off there — reading anything long gets tiring on the eyes.
For serious work like homework or this project, I'd reach for the laptop every time. A phone's perfect for quick messages, but nothing replaces a proper keyboard when there's real work to do. Both earn their place, honestly, just in different situations. Right, my battery's about to die, so I'll wrap up there — catch you at school!
