Imagine that you are doing a project on why some Zetlanders are not keen on theatre-going. You have found some data on the subject –
the results of a survey (see the table below) .
Comment on the survey data and give your opinion on

– conclude by giving and explaining your opinion on what matters most in learning a foreign language.

Что нужно сделать. Задание альтернативное: 38.1 или 38.2, ученик выбирает один вариант. Оба построены по единому плану из пяти пунктов: вступление о теме проекта и об опросе; 2–3 факта с цифрами; 1–2 сравнения с комментарием; проблема строго по формулировке пункта 4 плана; мнение автора строго по вопросу пункта 5 плана. Объём — 200–250 слов.
Вариант 38.1 (table). Тема проекта — почему часть жителей Зетландии не любит ходить в театр. Источник данных — table, опрос среди: Zetlanders. Проблема, связанная с выбором спектакля (пункт 4 плана); мнение о важности походов в театр (пункт 5 плана).

I am currently working on a school project that explores the reasons behind some Zetlanders' reluctance to go to the theatre. While gathering material for it, I found a table with the results of an opinion poll carried out among Zetlanders on this issue.
According to the poll, more than half of the respondents, 52 percent, said that going to the theatre is simply "too expensive" for them. Another 18 percent complained that the nearest theatre is "too far from home", while 13 percent admitted they have "other interests".
It is worth comparing the two smallest groups. Only 11 percent preferred "online broadcasts available" instead of a live performance, and just 6 percent mentioned an "inconvenient time of performances". This shows that cost worries people far more than scheduling does.
Choosing a suitable play to watch at the theatre is not always simple, since many people are unsure which productions really suit their taste and end up disappointed. Publishing short previews and honest reviews online would make this choice considerably easier. Theatres could also offer discounted preview nights, giving audiences a low-risk way to try something unfamiliar.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that going to the theatre remains a valuable experience, because it lets people witness live art and share genuine emotion with an audience in a way that no screen can ever fully replace. For this reason, I would encourage more Zetlanders to give it a chance.

I am currently doing a school project that looks at effective ways of learning a foreign language. For this project, I found a pie chart with the results of an opinion poll among Zetlanders.
The data indicate that 42 percent of the respondents named "the number of students in a group" as the key factor, and 27 percent chose "a good teacher". A further 15 percent felt that "speaking practice opportunities" mattered most.
If we compare the two least popular options, only 10 percent picked "reading books in a foreign language", while merely 6 percent chose "watching films in the original". This suggests learners value classroom conditions above independent activities at home.
Learning a language without any classroom support is another matter altogether: motivation tends to fade quickly once there is nobody to answer for the lack of progress. Joining an online community of fellow learners could keep such a person accountable and motivated. A study partner found this way is often far more reliable than trying to stick to a plan completely alone.
To conclude, in my opinion, what truly matters most when learning a foreign language is regular speaking practice, since grammar rules on their own are of little use unless a learner feels confident enough to apply them in a real conversation. Confidence like this only grows through consistent practice over time.
