Возможный ответ (38.1).
I am currently doing a school project that looks at the ways Zetland teenagers unwind after a busy day. To gather information, I found the results of an opinion poll conducted among teenagers in Zetland about their relaxing habits.
The table shows that 38 percent of the teenagers surveyed relax by "having a hobby", while 31 percent prefer "spending time with friends". A smaller group, 15 percent, simply chooses "sleeping" after a demanding day.
It is worth comparing the two least popular options. Only 10 percent mentioned "walking in the open air", and merely 6 percent picked "eating tasty food". Active or social activities clearly help teenagers relax more than passive comfort habits. Sleeping, at 15 percent, is the only passive option in the top three, which suggests that most teenagers still need an activity, not simply an absence of one, to feel rested.
Endless scrolling on a phone often replaces genuine rest, leaving teenagers just as tired as before. Encouraging short screen-free breaks, during which a hobby or a simple walk takes the place of a screen, could restore real relaxation. Parents could support this by simply switching off the household Wi-Fi for an hour each evening.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that relaxing well is extremely important in our life, because proper rest genuinely restores both energy and concentration, allowing teenagers to cope considerably better with the pressure of school and everyday responsibilities.
Вариант 38.2 (bar chart). Тема проекта — почему стоит изучать литературу в Зетландии. Источник данных — bar chart, опрос среди: people in Zetland. Проблема, связанная с изучением литературы (пункт 4 плана); мнение о важности изучения литературы в жизни человека (пункт 5 плана).
Данные диаграммы. Вопрос опроса: «Why people should study literature». «to widen horizons» — 38%; «to escape from daily routine» — 22%; «to learn about the past» — 18%; «to understand human nature» — 12%; «to discuss books with friends» — 10%.
Возможный ответ (38.2).
I am currently working on a school project that explores why literature is worth studying in Zetland. To research the subject, I found a bar chart with the results of an opinion poll conducted among people in Zetland.
According to the data, 38 percent of the respondents study literature "to widen horizons", while 22 percent do it "to escape from daily routine". A further 18 percent said their main reason is "to learn about the past".
Comparing the two least common reasons is revealing: only 12 percent read "to understand human nature", and just 10 percent do it "to discuss books with friends". Personal, intellectual benefits clearly matter more than the social side. The steady decline from the top answer down to the last one suggests that Zetlanders value literature mainly as a tool for personal growth rather than as a purely social activity shared with others.
Old-fashioned language in classic texts can make literature feel inaccessible to a young reader from the very first page. Starting with a modern adaptation or a graphic version before moving to the original often removes this barrier. Book clubs at school could also make the whole experience feel far less solitary.
To conclude, I strongly believe that studying literature is important in human life, because it teaches empathy, patience and critical thinking in a way that very few other school subjects manage to achieve quite so effectively.
