Comment on the survey data and give your opinion on the subject of the project.

Вариант 38.1 (table). Тема проекта — какие литературные жанры популярны среди подростков Зетландии. Источник данных — table, опрос среди: teenagers in Zetland. Проблема, связанная с чтением (пункт 4 плана); мнение о важности чтения для подростков (пункт 5 плана).

I am currently doing a school project that looks at the kinds of books that Zetland teenagers enjoy reading. To gather data, I found the results of an opinion poll conducted among teenagers in Zetland about their reading preferences.
The table shows that 30 percent of the teenagers surveyed prefer "fantasy", and 25 percent chose "science fiction" as their favourite genre. A smaller group, 20 percent, enjoys "detective/war/spy stories/thrillers" the most. These figures make it clear which genres schools and libraries should stock in greater quantity.
It is worth comparing the two least popular genres. Only 15 percent picked "other modern literature", while merely 10 percent selected "classical literature". Zetland teenagers are drawn mainly to adventurous stories rather than traditional fiction. The equal five-point gaps between every pair of genres show that teenagers' tastes shift gradually from fantasy towards classical literature, with no single genre standing sharply apart from its neighbours.
Finding enough time to read is getting harder for teenagers because of school workload and constant digital distraction. Introducing short, test-free reading sessions at school could bring the pleasure of reading back into a busy timetable. Recommending short, gripping novels rather than long classics at first often works particularly well too.
In conclusion, in my opinion, reading remains extremely important for teenagers, because books develop imagination, vocabulary and patience far more effectively than films or video games ever could, skills that stay genuinely useful throughout a person's whole life.

I am currently working on a school project that explores people's motivation for doing sports in Zetland. To research this, I found a bar chart with the results of an opinion poll conducted among people in Zetland about this habit.
According to the data, 42 percent of the respondents do sports "to keep fit", while 30 percent do it "to make a career in sports". A smaller group, 14 percent, said their main aim is "to cope with stress".
Comparing the two least common reasons is revealing: only 9 percent do sports "to spend time with friends", and just 5 percent do it "to spend more time outdoors". Health and ambition clearly matter more than social or outdoor reasons. The considerable gap between the top two answers and the remaining ones indicates that physical wellbeing and ambition outweigh social or environmental motives by a wide margin.
Exercising without proper guidance or equipment carries a genuine risk of injury, something beginners rarely consider until it is too late. Making a qualified coach available at every local sports centre, even for newcomers, would greatly reduce this danger. Free introductory sessions with an instructor could also encourage more beginners to start safely.
To conclude, I strongly believe that doing sports is essential for absolutely everyone, because staying physically fit clearly improves not only the body itself but also a person's concentration, sleep and general mood far beyond the sports field.
