Task 4. Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “An ideal weekend”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
- explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
- mention the advantages (1–2) of the two types of weekends;
- mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two types of weekends;
- express your opinion on the subject of the project – which kind of weekend you’d prefer and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (1215 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Dan, picture two very different weekends for the project, and tell me which one sounds more like you. In the first, a couple's hugging in a cinema, popcorn and a drink between them. In the second, a family's sitting on the floor at home in front of the TV, the mother holding the remote. A trip out versus a night curled up at home — that's really what the project's comparing.
Going to the cinema is exciting, obviously, thanks to the big screen and that special atmosphere. Staying home wins on comfort, though — you get to relax in your own clothes with the whole family around. The trouble with a cinema trip is cost, once you add tickets, popcorn and drinks together. Staying home can feel a bit flat sometimes, if I'm honest, next to an actual trip out.
I'd choose a weekend at home myself — quiet time with family, without spending much money at all. A cinema trip's a nice treat now and then, but a relaxed weekend indoors wins most of the time for me. Both make a proper weekend, sure, but home comes out on top for me.
