Task 4. Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Tastes differ”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
- explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
- mention the advantages (1–2) of the two ways of shopping;
- mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two ways of shopping;
- express your opinion on the subject of the project – which of these ways of shopping you prefer and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (1215 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Что нужно сделать. Кратко описать обе фотографии для проекта «На вкус и цвет», отметить, чем они различаются, и связать их с темой проекта; назвать 1–2 достоинства и 1–2 недостатка двух способов делать покупки; высказать своё мнение — какой из этих способов покупок вы предпочитаете и почему — и обосновать его; начать высказывание с обращения к другу и завершить его прощальной фразой.

Ryan, hello! I want to tell you about the two photos I've picked for our "Tastes differ" project. The first shows a family shopping together in a supermarket — the father is checking a packet of food, and their trolley is already full of groceries. The second shows a woman lying on her bed, holding a bank card and a tablet as she shops online. So instead of going round the shops together as a family, she's buying everything from the comfort of home, which is exactly the contrast our project is about. Shopping in a store definitely has its perks: you get to see and check the goods yourself, and staff are there if you need help. Shopping online saves loads of time, and it's so easy to compare prices between different shops. But there's a flip side to each. In-store shopping eats up time and often means queuing at the till. Online shopping means you can't check the quality in person, and delivery can take days to arrive. Personally, I'd choose shopping online without a doubt.
