Task 4. Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Jobs”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
·explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
·mention the advantages (1–2) of the two kinds of jobs;
·mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two kinds of jobs;
·express your opinion on the subject of the project – which of these jobs you’d prefer and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Что нужно сделать. Кратко описать обе фотографии для проекта «Профессии», отметить, чем они различаются, и связать их с темой проекта; назвать 1–2 достоинства и 1–2 недостатка двух профессий; высказать своё мнение — какую из этих профессий вы бы предпочли и почему — и обосновать его; начать высказывание с обращения к другу и завершить его прощальной фразой.

Hello Ella! Here's my message about the two photos for our "Jobs" project. The first shows a builder in a red uniform and a yellow hard hat, laying bricks outdoors. The second shows a team of surgeons in an operating theatre, completely focused on carrying out an operation, and unlike the builder's job, this one is done indoors and takes years of medical training. Working as a builder means seeing the results of your work immediately, and it keeps you fit too. Being a surgeon is hugely respected, and you get the chance to actually save people's lives. On the flip side, building work is physically demanding and often done outdoors in rough weather. Surgery, meanwhile, demands years of training and comes with a huge amount of responsibility. I'd honestly go for becoming a surgeon. Helping people in such a direct way just feels incredibly rewarding to me. Anyway, that's what I think about it. I'd be curious to hear your opinion too.
