Task 4. Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Happy childhood”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
- explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
- mention the advantages (1–2) of the two types of children’s leisure activities;
- mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two types of children’s leisure activities;
- express your opinion on the subject of the project – which leisure activity you preferred as a child and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (1215 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Фотографии. 1) несколько детей катаются на пружинных качелях на детской площадке; 2) маленькая девочка с цветком в волосах облокотилась на стопку разноцветных книг.
Что нужно сделать. Кратко описать обе фотографии для проекта «Счастливое детство», отметить, чем они различаются, и связать их с темой проекта; назвать 1–2 достоинства и 1–2 недостатка двух видов досуга детей; высказать своё мнение — какой вид досуга вы предпочитали в детстве и почему — и обосновать его; начать высказывание с обращения к другу и завершить его прощальной фразой.

Sam, hello! I want to share the two photos I picked for our "Happy childhood" project. The first shows several children playing on spring seesaws at an outdoor playground. The second shows a little girl with a flower in her hair, resting her arms on a stack of colourful books, and unlike the playground scene, this one is calm and takes place indoors. Playing outside gives kids loads of fresh air and exercise, plus the fun of playing with other children. Reading, on the other hand, develops your imagination and is wonderfully calm and relaxing. Outdoor play depends on the weather, and there's always a small risk of minor bumps and scrapes. Reading isn't very active, though, so some kids find it a bit boring. As for me, as a child I always preferred playing outside at the playground. Running around with other children was simply much more fun than sitting quietly with a book. Anyway, that's my honest opinion. Let me know what you think. Bye for now, Sam!
