Task 4. Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Tastes differ”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
- explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
- mention the advantages (1–2) of the two ways of spending free time;
- mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two ways of spending free time;
- express your opinion on the subject of the project – which of these ways of spending free time you would prefer and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Фотографии. 1) женский волейбольный матч: две спортсменки в красной форме подпрыгивают у сетки, блокируя мяч; 2) три девушки танцуют вместе на вечеринке под цветными огнями.
Что нужно сделать. Кратко описать обе фотографии для проекта «На вкус и цвет», отметить, чем они различаются, и связать их с темой проекта; назвать 1–2 достоинства и 1–2 недостатка двух способов проводить свободное время; высказать своё мнение — какой из этих способов проводить свободное время вы бы предпочли и почему — и обосновать его; начать высказывание с обращения к другу и завершить его прощальной фразой.

Hi Ruby! Guess what — I've picked out two photos for the "Tastes differ" project. The first is a women's volleyball match, with two players in red jumping up at the net to block the ball. The second shows three young women dancing together at a party, laughing under colourful lights. So one photo is all about a competitive team sport, while the other is a lively social night out, which gives us two really different ways of spending free time. Playing volleyball keeps you fit, and it really teaches you to work well as a team. Dancing at a party is great fun, and it's a brilliant way to relax and socialise with friends. Volleyball can be tiring, though, and there's always a small risk of getting injured. Parties often mean staying up late, and things can get a bit too noisy after a while. If I had to pick one, I'd go for playing volleyball. It's simply a healthier, more active way to spend my free time. I also really enjoy the team spirit that comes with it.
