I am currently working on a project about why cycling to work has not really caught on among commuters in Zetland. To gather some data, I have found the results of an opinion poll conducted among people who choose not to cycle to their jobs.
The table shows that almost half of the respondents, 49 per cent, said it is "too far to go" by bicycle, while 24 per cent mentioned unfavourable climate conditions. Only 13 per cent complained about the lack of bicycle lanes, and 8 per cent about parking.
The distance to work is roughly twice as common a reason as the weather, and more than eight times as common as heavy traffic, which only 6 per cent of the respondents named, suggesting that practical obstacles matter more than safety concerns for most commuters.
Cycling through a big city is rarely as simple as it sounds, mainly because dedicated, safe lanes on busy roads are still few and far between. Wider investment by the city authorities into a proper network of cycle paths would make this option far more appealing.
To sum up, I believe that a combination of public transport and cycling is the best way of getting around a big city, since it reduces both traffic congestion and pollution while keeping commuters active and healthy.

I am currently working on a project about how Zetlanders choose a concert to go to. To collect some data, I have found the results of an opinion poll conducted among concertgoers in Zetland about what influences their choice.
The pie chart shows that 40 per cent of the respondents named "your favourite musicians" as the most important factor, while 25 per cent rely on positive reviews of unfamiliar performers. The location of the concert hall mattered to only 11 per cent.
Loyalty to favourite musicians is noticeably more influential than discounts, which only 6 per cent of the respondents mentioned, showing that personal taste in music outweighs the price of the ticket for most people who buy concert tickets.
Spending a considerable sum on a ticket only to be disappointed by the actual performance is a risk every concertgoer knows well, especially when the artist is unfamiliar and expectations are based purely on a poster or an advert. Reading reviews left by people who have already attended similar events is a fairly reliable way of avoiding this kind of letdown before money is spent.
In conclusion, I think that attending concerts is important for people's emotional well-being, as live music creates a unique atmosphere that recordings simply cannot reproduce, and this experience is worth the effort of choosing carefully and planning ahead.
