По плану: вступление о теме проекта и об опросе; 2–3 факта с цифрами; 1–2 сравнения с комментарием; проблема, связанная с содержанием домашних питомцев, и её решение; в заключении — мнение автора о роли питомцев в нашей жизни с обоснованием.

I am currently working on a project about the reasons that lead people in Zetland to keep a pet at home. To gather some data, I have found the results of an opinion poll conducted among pet owners in Zetland about their motives for doing so.

The table shows that 44 per cent of the respondents keep a pet "not to feel lonely", while 22 per cent said it makes them feel happy. Spending more time outdoors was named by 14 per cent, taking care of someone by 12 per cent of the pet owners.

Not feeling lonely is more than five times as common a reason as coping with stress, which was chosen by only 8 per cent, suggesting that companionship, rather than exercise or distraction from worries, is the main motive for keeping a pet in Zetland.

Owning an animal, however, is a bigger commitment than many people first realise, since it demands a steady amount of time, money and attention over many years. Looking closely into the needs of a particular species before adopting it helps a future owner avoid an unpleasant surprise later on.

To conclude, I believe that pets play a genuinely valuable role in our lives, offering companionship and emotional support that is hard to find elsewhere, and this clearly explains why so many Zetlanders choose to share their homes with an animal.

I am currently working on a project about the purposes for which Zetland teenagers rely on their smartphones most heavily. To collect some data, I have found the results of an opinion poll conducted among teenagers in Zetland about their daily smartphone habits.

The bar chart shows that "texting" is the most common activity, chosen by 30 per cent of the respondents, while 25 per cent mostly surf the Internet. Making telephone calls was named by 20 per cent, and playing games by 15 per cent of the teenagers.

Texting is exactly three times as popular an activity as using email, which only 10 per cent of the respondents mentioned, showing that teenagers in Zetland communicate mainly through short written messages rather than through more formal channels such as email.

Notifications popping up every few minutes can easily pull attention away from schoolwork, no matter how good one's intentions are at the start of a study session. Switching on the "do not disturb" mode while working and checking messages only during scheduled breaks helps to keep this distraction under control.

In conclusion, I think that smartphones play a significant role in teenagers' lives, keeping them connected with friends and information at all times, although using them wisely remains essential for maintaining a healthy daily balance between screen time and everything else.
