Task 4. Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Communication”. You have found some illustrations and want to share the news. Leave a voice message to your friend. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
·explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting
the differences;
·mention the advantages (12) of the two types of communication;
·mention the disadvantages (12) of the two types of communication;
·express your opinion on the subject of the project which way of communication you prefer and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (1215 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Что нужно сделать. Кратко описать обе фотографии для проекта «Общение», отметить, чем они различаются, и связать их с темой проекта; назвать 1–2 достоинства и 1–2 недостатка двух видов общения; высказать своё мнение — какой способ общения вы предпочитаете и почему — и обосновать его; начать высказывание с обращения к другу и завершить его прощальной фразой.

Zoe, hey! So, about our "Communication" project — I've found two photos that fit perfectly. In the first, a young woman is standing outside, smiling as she chats on her phone. In the second, two teenagers — a boy with a skateboard and a girl — are walking along together, talking face to face, and unlike the phone call, here the friends are actually together in person. Talking on the phone lets you stay in touch with people far away, quickly and easily. Chatting face to face feels much more personal, since you can actually see how the other person reacts. On the downside, phone calls mean you can't see the other person's expression, and the line can sometimes drop. Face-to-face chats aren't always possible either, especially if your friends live far away. Given the choice, I'd always pick talking face to face. It just feels warmer and far more genuine than any phone call. Anyway, that's my view on the whole thing. Tell me what you think when you get a chance. See you soon, Zoe!
