I am currently working on a project about why some Zetlanders refuse to do sports regularly. To gather some data, I have found the results of an opinion poll that asked people in Zetland about the reasons behind their inactivity.
The table shows that almost half of the respondents, 48 per cent, said they get "no pleasure" from doing sports, while 18 per cent admitted having no motivation. Only 13 per cent named the cost of sports activities as their reason.
Lack of pleasure is nearly five times as common a reason as having nobody to share sports with, which was chosen by just 10 per cent, and it is also more frequent than the lack of free time, mentioned by 11 per cent.
Staying inactive for long, though, tends to catch up with people sooner or later, gradually affecting both their physical fitness and their mood over time. Starting with something light, such as walking or cycling, is a gentle way in that does not demand strong motivation from the outset.
To sum up, I believe that the best way to motivate people to do sports is to make the activity enjoyable, for instance by exercising with friends or trying different sports until one that brings genuine pleasure is found.

I am currently working on a project about how Zetlanders choose a place for their holidays. To collect some data, I have found the results of an opinion poll that asked people in Zetland what matters most when planning a trip.
The pie chart shows that 40 per cent of the respondents named the "cost of accommodation" as the most important factor, while 25 per cent chose the cost of travelling. Travel time was mentioned by 18 per cent, and only 6 per cent cared about internet connection in the hotel.
The cost of accommodation is noticeably more important than tourist attractions, which only 11 per cent of the respondents selected, showing that budget concerns matter far more to Zetlanders than the sights available at a destination.
Holiday planning frequently runs into one particular difficulty: unexpected extra costs that push the traveller well beyond the original budget set at the start. Comparing several destinations in advance and setting aside a small financial cushion for surprises is a sensible way of avoiding this problem.
In conclusion, I think the best way to choose a place for a holiday is to balance cost with personal interests, so that the trip remains both affordable and genuinely enjoyable for everyone involved in the end.
